Shallow Boat Report for 2025.
      This has been a very strange year.  We only managed 4 competitions this year which was a shame because most weekends the wind blew.  Hopefully we will do better next year.  We did have 16 club members fish the competitions this year which was good.

11th Shallow Boat Competition.
    On Sunday 12th October the club held its 11th Shallow Boat competition and the weather was not too bad.  Most of the day was cloudy with a moderate easterly wind and it remained dry.  6 club members fished the competition and fish caught included Bass, black bream, dogfish, pouting, and red gurnard.  On these competitions the fish are measured, weighed and released straight back into the sea and points awarded.
Results:
1st Adrian Moody 85 points, 2nd Ady Hulme 70 points, 3rd Alan Martin 66 points, 4th Neil Mitchiner 50 points (6 fish), 5th Paul Watson 50 points (5 fish), 6th Alan Mapes 25 points.

8th Shallow Boat competition.
      On Sunday 13th July the club held its 8th Shallow Boat competition.  The weather could not have been better.  Bright sunshine from the start, the wind was a bit stronger than forecast but 11 club members signed on and had a good day's fishing.  Fish caught included bass, bream, dogfish and smooth-hound.  All the fish on these competitions are measured, points awarded and released back into the sea as quickly as possible.

1st Ryan Nash 80pts,2nd Jack Nash 60pts, 3rd Neil Mitchener 55pts, 4thPaul Watson 48pts, 5th Colin Wright (11 fish) 45pts, 6th Charlie Nash (4 fish) and Ady Hulme (4 fish) 45pts,
