1st Win-Sum League Competition report sent in by Colin Saunders.
On Wednesday evening 18th March the club held its 1st Win-Sum League competition at Harbour Road, Southbourne. 14 club members signed on in perfect weather conditions but with a very large sea swell. The fishing was "slower than slow" to say the least. Fish caught included dogfish, sole, bass and pouting all in very small numbers. Largest round fish were 2 dogfish of 54cm caught by Steve Monckton and Brian Dawkins. Largest flat fish was a sole of 29cm caught6 by Glenn Short. Smallest fish was a bass of 13cm caught by Malcolm stote.

Zone 1. 1st Colin Saunders 2 fish 91cm (+5 points) 2nd Martin Pink 2 fish 53cm (+10 points) 3rd Brian Dawkins 1 fish 53cm (+5 points) 4th Chris Ellis 1 fish 25cm,
5th Marc Duncan 1 fish 17cm, 6th Malcolm Stote 1 fish 13cm. Garry Mann blanked.
Zone 2. 1st Steve Monckton 2 fish 71cm, 2nd Glenn Short 1 fish 29cm, Tom Short, Robin Lane, Paul Watson, Peter Chamberlain and Andy Hopkins all blanked.

1st Team no 4. Paul Watson, Steve Monckton 71cm and Colin Saunders 91cm for a total of 162cm.
2nd Team no 2. Glenn Short 29cm, Brian Dawkins 54cm and Malcolm Stote for a total of 83cm.
3rd Team no 3. Robin Lane, Martin Pink 53cm and Peter Chamberlain for a total of 53cm.
4th Team no 1. Tom Short, Chris Ellis 25cm and Garry Mann for a total of 25cm.
