Weymouth Pairs Species Charter Boat Competition.

This year's Weymouth Pairs Charter Boat competition took place on the 6th and 7th November with a record of 46 teams entering coming from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Belgium and the Netherlands. 10 anglers from L & D. S. F. C. took part in the event.

After Day 1, team Don't Know consisting of Steve Batchelor and Colin Searles were 2nd with 39 points and Team Lymington SAC consisting of Marc Duncan and Dave Wood joint7th with 35 points.

Day 2, the weather was very challenging and the beauty of fishing Weymouth is that with Portland and Portland Harbour you can get out safely in most conditions. Overall results saw team Cod Father consisting of John Bellamy and Chris Ellis15th.

In the 4-man drawn team, well done to John and Chris for coming 1st, Russell Latimer and Mike Fox coming joint 4th. Paul Hollyoake had 3rd place with a best specimen of a thornback ray of 10lbs 5oz.

Well done to all anglers from L & D. S. F. C who entered and next year's competition is 29th and 30th October 2026.
