Shore Competition Results. 

Shingle Bank League - Thursday 5th January.  

A total of over thirty pounds of dogfish, pout, rockling and whiting where caught on January's Shingle Bank League as the majority of the 16 anglers who fished weighed in. Keith Warren was declared the match winner for his 6lb 1.6oz total, the best fish of the night was also won by Keith with a 1lb 14.6oz dogfish. Runner up Chris Ellis fell just short of the top spot with 5lb 9.6ozs. Top junior and 5th overall wasJaon Voller when he caught a total of 2lb 10.4ozs.

Junior Winter League.   
Daniel Stote claimed victory of the third round match for the junior winter league, held on the evening of Wednesday 28th December at Avon Beach. All eight juniors that fished caught, despite the windy conditions. Between them they caught pout, whiting, flounder, dogfish and rockling. Brother in arms Matthew and Jack Watson clamed both optional pools. Matthew with a 56cm dogfish and Jack with a 28cm flounder.
1st Daniel Stote 343cm, 2nd Jaon Voller 321cm, 3rd Matthew Watson 299cm, 4th Rhy Hayward 133cm, 5th Jack Watson 130cm,

Junior Optional pool.
Best round fish was a 56cm dogfish and caught by Matthew Watson.
Best flat fish was a 28cm flounder caught by Jack Watson.

Adult Winter League.  
19 fished this competition held at Hythe Marina on the 21st December with all 19 catching fish. A total of 149 fish were caught which consisted of pout, whiting, bass, flounder, smoothhound, rockling and poor cod with a total length of 3105cm.
1st Chris Tsoulli 426cm, 2nd Chris Ellis 35cm, 3rd Roly Blomfield 298cm, 4th Ollie Hopkins 280cm, 5th Chris Clark 228cm,
6th Andy Hopkins 212cm, 7th Colin Pankhurst and Pete Tomkins 188cm, 9th Terry Kempton 171cm, 10th Keith Panks 169cm.
Optional pool for best round fish was Chris Tsoulli with a smoothhound of 42cm.
Optional pool for best flat fish was Chris Ellis with a flounder of 34cm.
Smallest fish was Roland Blomfield with pout of 13cm.

Jaon Breaks Club Record.   
The first match of the club year was the Christmas Rover on Sunday 18th December 2011. A total of 24 nglers including 3 juniors attended of which 21 bought fish such as bass, pout, whiting,rockling and dogfish back to the scales. Top angler on the day was Chris Clark with a total of 9lb 4.6ozs, runner up was Paul Watson with 6lb 9.2ozs which included the heaviest fish of the day a 4lb 1oz bass. The top junior on the day was Aaron Gray with 2lb 5.6ozs however the most notable catch went to Jaon Voller weighing in a 2lb 1oz pouting breaking the Junior Club record which has stood for over 30 years. Well done Jaon.
