Death of Reginald Penny.

For those club members who may not have heard the sad news, our former president Reg Penny passed away on the 16th December, at the age of 89; his appeared in the Advertiser & Times in January. He was our president from 1993 to 2002, and he played a substantial role in helping the club establish its own headquarters in the early1990's. Even shortly before his death, he was still interested in how the clubwas doing. We extend our sympathies to the rest of his family, especially his daughter Cheryl, who accompanied him to our annual dinner and prize presentations, when the subject of his presidential speech was often the shortcomings of the EU fisheries policy. The club was well represented at his funeral srevice and a donation has been made to Oakhaven Hospice in his memory.
