OPEN COMPETITION RESULTS.

Specimen Boat Open Results.

Competition was run by Richard Rickman.

On Sunday 20th June we had 36 enter the Specimen Bot Open and 27 weighed in fish which included bream, garfish, dogfish, pout, ballen wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, pollack, undulate ray, plaice, turbot, red gurnard and tub gurnard. The Club would like to thank Gary from Loni's Angling Centre for the 1st prize of £250 plus the prize table. Many thanks also go to Dave Barham from Boat Fishing Monthly for the team prize of 2 one year subscriptions to the magazine.

Lymington Spring Open Results.

Competition was run by Brian Dawkins.

On Saturday 8th May we had 68 adults and 6 juniors enter the competition competing in 2 zones. Fishing in general was disapointing with only 26 competitors returning fish to the scales which consisted of dogfish, smoothhound, pout, turbot and rockling.

The biggest flat fish was a turbot weighing 1lb 12ozs and was caught by Tom Short.

The biggest round fish was a smoothhound weighing 2lb 12ozs and caught by Paul Phillips.

Top junior with a dogfish of 1lb 8ozs was Dan Stote.

The overall winner of the competition was Mike Brown of Southampton with 3 dogfish weighing 4lb 3.6ozs.

Green Zone {Milford}.

1st Mike Brown with 3 dogfish for 4lb 3.6ozs.

2nd Jeff Fisk with 2 dogfish and 1 smoothhound for 4lb 3ozs.

3rd Tom Short with 1 turbot and 1 dogfish for 3lb 4ozs.

4th John Owen with 2 dogfish for 3lb 3ozs.

5th Mike Groves with 2 dogfish for 2lb 14ozs.

6th A.Slater with 2 dogfish for 2lb 13ozs.

Yellow Zone {Shingle Bank}.

1st Paul Johnson with 2 dogfish for 3lb 10.6ozs.

2nd Dan Reading with 2 dogfish for 3lb 10ozs.

3rd Andy Hopkins with 2 dogfish for 2lb 13ozs.

4th Paul Phillips with 1 smoothhound for 2lb 12ozs.

Lymington Flounder Open Results.

Competition was run by Brian Dawkins and Andy Hopkins.

On Sunday 3rd January 2010 128 adults and 12 juniors fished the Flounder Open in bright, cold which was ideal conditions. 12 people weighed in a total of 13 fish which consisted of 12 flounders and 1 bass.

The heaviest flounder was caught by John Veal of Lymington and weighed 1lb 6ozs.

2nd heaviest flounders was won jointly by I Elcock and D.Stuart which weighed 1lb 4ozs.

Yellow Zone.

The winner was J.Veal.

Runners up were I Elcock and D.Stuart.

Red Zone.

The winner was D.Ridout.

Runner up was J.Pidgely.

Top junior was Jordon Downer.

TopTeam was Z.Mapes and P.Mapes.

Overall Results.

1st J.Veal, 2nd I. Elcock and D.Ridout, 5th J.Pidgely, 6th J.Purdey, 7th Z.Mapes, 8th K.Jenkins.
