Junior Specimen and Species Competition 2010.

This was the 2nd competition of 2010 and was held at Hythe Marina on Saturday 24th April. 4 juniors fished and 2 weighed in. The best specimen of the competition was a pout of 4.8ozs which is 20% of specimen weight and caught by Dan Stote.

1st Dan Stote 40pts, 2nd Joe Chanberlain 37pts.

The 3rd competition of 2010 was held on Sunday 11th July and was a roving competition. 2 juniors fished and both weighed in. The best specimen of the competition was a bream of 8.8ozs which is 32% of specimen weight and caught by Joe Chamberlain.

1st Joe Chamberlain 82pts, 2nd Arron Grey 40pts.

Junior Summer League 2010.

The 2nd match of these competitions was held on the Lymington Sea Wall. The weather was dry and warm with 7 juniors fishing and all 7 catching fish. Fish caught included eel and bass. The best fish of the evening was a bass of 32cm and caught by Dan Stote.

1st Michael Dawkins 251cm, 2nd Daniel Stote 231cm, 3rd Daniel Rose 146cm, 4th Mathew Watson & Joe Chamberlain 144cm,

6th Arron Grey 109cm, 7th Jason Voller 25cm.

Daniel Rose with a bass of 32cm and Mathew Watson with an eel of 32cm, Daniel Stote with an eel of 31cm.

Junior Summer League - Magazine Lane - 2nd July 2010.

This was the 1st match of the summer league and the weather was dry and warm but sadly the weed was in abundance and the juniors did very in coping with it. 7 juniors fished and 6 caught fish which included smoothhounds and pout.

Joe Chamberlain caught the best fish of the night which was a smoothhound of 49cm.

1st Joe Chamberlain 208cm, 2nd Arron Grey 139cm, 3rd Dan Stote 68cm, 4th Mathew Watson 65cm, 5th Josh Glasbey 58cm,

6th Dan Rose 46cm.

Junior Optional pool 1st Joe Chamberlain with a smoothhound of 49cm, 2nd Arron Grey also a smoothhound of 46cm.

Junior Winter League-Magazine Lane- 13th April 2010.

The final heat of the Junior Winter League was fished at Magazine Lane on Tuesday 13th April in which six of the seven juniors fished on the night and all six weighed in. The weather was dry, but windy and fish caught included bass, pout and whiting. The best fish of the evening was a pout of 24cm weighing 5.8ozs and was caught by Arron Gray.

1st Mathew Watson 201cm, 2nd Daniel Stote 169cm, 3rd Arron Gray 153cm, 4th Daniel Rose 141cm, 5th Josh Glasbey 134cm,

6th Joe Chamberlain 101cm.

Optional pool for the best round fish 1st was Arron Gray with a pout of 24cm, joint second was Mathew Watson and Daniel Stote with a pout of 23cm.

Junior Specimen and Species competition -28th February.

The first competition of the junior section was held on 28th Feburary on Avon beach with 3 juniors fishing it and 2 weighing in. The best specimen of the competition was a pout of 0lb 3.6ozs and caught by Joe Chamberlain.

1st Dan Stote 38pts, 2nd Joe Chamberlain 31pts.

Junior Winter League 4th Match - 15th February 2010.

The fourth match was held on Avon beach near the cafe, it was a cold but dry evening. Seven fished and all seven caught fish and the species caught included rockling, pout and flounder.

The best fish on the night was a rockling of 25cm and weighing 5.6ozs which was caught by Mathew Watson.

1st Josh Glasbey 121cm. 2nd Arron Gray 95cm. 3rd Joe Chamberlain 90cm. 4th Mathew Watson 71cm. 5th Brad Smith 62cm.

6th Daniel Rose 26cm. 7th Daniel Stote 23cm.

Best round fish optional pool was won by Mathew Watson with a rockling of 25cm.

Best flat fish optional pool was a flounder of 23cm and caught by Josh Glasbey.

Junior Winter League 2nd match - 30th December 2009.

7 juniors braved cold but dry weather conditions for the second match of this year's Winter League, with all 7 catching fish. The best fish on the night was a flounder of 25cm and caught by Joe Chamberlain. Winning him the flat fish optional pool.

Arron Gray caught a whitting of 23cm. Winning him the round fish optional pool.

The flat fish optional pool was won by Joe chamberlain with a flounder of 23cm.
